Knitted scarf and hat

This is the outcome of my first attempt to create a scarf & hat set knitting, and I felt confident enough to create it as a Christmas gift for a very close friend of mine. I have to say I'm rather proud of it, and of myself indeed. I think I'm going to knit more and more, I'll keep posting my results here in my blog, and of course I'll welcome any suggestion you would like to share.

I'm back to the web!

I've been far from the keyboard for so long that it seems to me I've been posting my latest post a life ago.
And I have to tell that it is not so far from the reality...
Last March, on the third, a new life came to brighten up our family: I gave birth to Livia, a little sunshine that kept me really busy so far.
I know that there is a controversial discussion on posting pics of babies on the web, but I really cannot hold myself as I'm a proud mama of two, So here you are Matteo and Livia.

This is one of hte first pic I took of them, now she' 7 months old, and he's 3 year old.

I'm sure all of you that have a child know the happiness that a pic like this can mean, and for whom that are not parents yet...I wish you all you can try this joy sooner or later in life!

Now it's time to go back to my  etsy shop, this blog and maybe some more projects I've been thinking about in the last months! Staay tuned!

Missing summer - as usual!

It has been a while since I last wrote a post, but a lot of things happened in my life recently. I'm back with the most tender pic of this summer: Matteo's tiny feet wearing my flip-flops.
This autumn is amazing: pink, red and
golden leaves and shiny sun, but I still miss summer, as I do every year!!

Cacti blossom

Due piccoli cactus ''a palla'' e tre favolosi fiori bianchi: ecco la fioritura annuale più incredibile del mio piccolo balcone!

Fiori effimeri, di breve durata, fotografati al volo col cellulare, la mattina appena sveglia. Al rientro, per pranzo, stavano già sfiorendo.

Meravigliosi, soprattutto quando appaiono ''riempiti di luce'', come nella prima di queste tre foto.

Ci rivedremo l'anno prossimo, fiorellini!

Two small ''bal'' cacti, and three gorgeous withe flowers: here's the yearly amazing bloosom in my tiny balcony.

Ephemeral flowers: they just leasted few hours, but so beautiful, expecially when ''filled'' by the sunlight, like in the first pic above.

Dry phalenopsys flowers

there's something in dry flowers that attracts me a lot, and I found the perfect way to keep them and their appeal: glass holders, another passion of mine. look at this pic to see what I mean.

We are back!

After 10 dreamy days in Sicily, we are back home! This means in the next days I'm going to post a lot o pic of Sicily...it will be difficult to choose, we've visited amazing places!
in the meantime please enjoy some of my succulents beauties, they shine in the sun!

Tiny messy spider in pink and green

Here's a corner of my livingroom: the shelf made from a woodden vintage shutter and  an orchid in a bright pink vase.

But look, there's a spider too....have you ever seen such a messy spiderweb? It seems to be trapped in his own web!

Orchids are amazing to decorate the house!

I'm in love

Here's my baby blonde head! He's 19 months old now, I can't believe how fast is he growing!

I'm busy taking pics of him and spending all the time I can with him, as I can feel that this period of our lives in which we are so deepy connected is going to pass by quickly.

I don't want to miss any second of this precious time, as he's going to became an independent person soon, trying to find his way on his legs without the presence of  his mum... I will be proud of him, but I will be missing our special bond.

Soon I will be looking at those pics with his dad, while he will be living his life.

He's my biggest treasure, the bless of life, my deepest love (toghether with his amazing daddy) and I cannot spend any second without thinking of him.

Tulip

During a trip to the Netherlands I bought a bag of tulip bulbs: a lot of work to plant them but finally this has been the satisfaction I get! Such a beauty on the balcony worths the work I've done!

Fruit baskets

Those are two lovely small wooden fruit baskets that my housband painted in white. they look so nice and I'l like to use them, but I don't know how. any suggestion?

Nice and easy to do: crochet cover for my pottery pen holder

Lovely olive green cotton thread, crochet low stich and less than one hour of work: I'm so happy with the result!

Ready for Christmas!!

Some of my favourite Christmas tree decoration: the snowman, happy and bright, and the decoration I crocheted las year. I'm looking forward to see my little boy finding his gifts under the tree for the first time!
